Khairan chalets: before you rent or buy, ask about the frontage, not the sunset
Khairan is an obvious sea escape, but two chalets in the same spot can differ a lot because of the frontage, the pool and the contract.
Khairan sunset photos all look alike, and the real differences between chalets don't show in them. Before you book or buy, ask the questions that decide the experience and the cost.
Frontage: open sea or canal?
Ask for a photo taken from the balcony itself. Some units face a canal or inner lagoon, not the open sea — a clear price difference, and a difference in privacy and swimming.
The pool
Ask about depth, heating if mentioned, and whether the pool is private or shared. The sunset photo won't tell you.
Electricity and the meter
Ask whether the meter is separate and who pays consumption. That clause changes the cost per night a lot in summer.
Getting there, and buying
Time the drive on a Thursday evening, not a Tuesday morning. To buy, check the deed and land use — a chalet is not a city house and its rules differ.
